There is currently no fee for becoming a Member Artist of awful/FANTASTIC!
As a Member Artist you will receive email notices of forthcoming professional development events and 'call for
entries' inviting you to submit work for consideration for exhibitions (there is no obligation to attend any
events or submit work for exhibitions). In order to cover some of the costs involved in organising such
exhibitions, there will be a non-refundable fee charged to all selected artists (and full details, along with
information about any additional charges/commission on sales, will be posted on the website at such times). Submission does
not guarantee acceptance of work and the Curator's decision regarding selection is final.
As a Member Artist you can send up to four jpeg images (72dpi) of your work for inclusion on the home page
of our website. These can be replaced and/or updated as your work develops and new pieces are produced. awful/FANTASTIC! reserves the right not to include some or all of the images if they feel
they are not in keeping with the look and feel of the homepage. If you have your own website, this can be
included in our Member Artists' link page.
Member Artists will also receive email bulletins about other events and activities which
awful/FANTASTIC! is involved in, notices of major updates to the website and news regarding
the progress of our initiative generally.

We are hoping that awful/FANTASTIC! will become a thriving and proactive network of
visual artists whose working practices are open to exploring and responding to contemporary art issues and
debates, thereby enriching the working practices and artistic experience of our membership, increasing the
visibility of their own work and contributing to the promotion of Aylesbury and the Vale as a vibrant
environment for creative practice.
Whilst we are committed to establishing and maintaining long term relationships with our artists, if at
any time you no longer wish to be a member of awful/FANTASTIC!, simply email
laura@awfulfantastic.co.uk
and we will remove your details from our database to ensure you do not receive any further bulletins. We will
also delete any thumbnails of your work which appear on the Home page of our website as well as the listing
and link to your own website (if you have one).
awful/FANTASTIC! reserves the right to decline any application to join as a Member Artist
without need for further explanation or recourse. awful/FANTASTIC! also reserves the right
to terminate membership at any time it feels necessary.
