Pavilion Launch Exhibition - Friday 6th July to Saturday 14th July 2007

Review

Our launch exhibition, PAVILION, took place from Friday 6th to Saturday 14th July 2007 in the 16th century stables of The King’s Head in Aylesbury, which had not been open to the public since the early 20th century.

Working in partnership with The National Trust and with support from Aylesbury Vale Arts Council and local print and design company, Blue Pepper Designs, the exhibition was a great success with 402 visitors coming to see us during the 8 day run, together with 45 guests on the private view.

Whilst we had modest sales of approximately 20% of the displayed work, from the very positive and appreciative comments we received from people, we are confident of being able to present this group exhibition on a yearly basis.

The sixteen selected artists whose work was on show, were:

  • Joanna Bryant
  • Katrina Covill
  • Zoe Eaton
  • Mitzie Green
  • Susan Hall
  • Christine Harris
  • Susan Hemming
  • Laura Jones
  • Susan Erskine-Jones
  • Liz Meier
  • Lyndy Moles
  • Katarina Nyman
  • Karen Pearce
  • Melissa Setterington
  • Sue Weinstock
  • Rachel Westlake

We also benefited from our promotional efforts, which included an advert in a-n news magazine and The Buckinghamshire Times, articles in The Bucks Herald and Bucks Free Press and an interview on local Aylesbury radio station, Mix 96.
